How to combine hardware and software to create useful products?

What a better way to understand programming and electronics than through a guided session on Arduino by the engineering experts at Axis? 🤩

Let's play around with Arduino starter kits in small groups, and explore how one can combine electronics with coding in a fun way!

Programming with Arduino is a great starting point for beginner programmers, yet flexible enough for advanced users. It is also an excellent way of learning how code can affect the behaviour of an electronic device, and it is fun to see all the products that can be developed when combining software and hardware! For example, an Arduino board can read inputs, like a finger on a button and  turn it into an output, like turning on an LED.💡

Join us not only for a day full of inspiration, but also to get hands-on experience programming! Complete beginners are welcome, and there will also be harder exercises provided for participants who already have some experience.

You will:

    • Participate in an Arduino workshop and learn how software and hardware can be combined for the development of different products.
    • Hear about the journeys of engineers working at Axis, and get inspired to follow your own path towards a career in IT.

Programming language: Arduino (based on C++)

Workshop level: Beginner & Intermediate

Inspirational Session

Axis Engineers
Josefine Öder, Emma Johansson, Josefin Johansson

Three engineers, three different journeys into IT

What is it like to work for a Multi-Channel Product Feature team? What about video management systems? Both Emma and Josefin are currently part of a team focusing on video streaming and recording, but how did they end up there? How did Josefine find her passion for engineering and what led her to work at Axis? Discover this and ask all your questions to Josefine, Emma, and Josefin. They are looking forward to sharing their experience with you, with the hope of inspiring you to find your own path into tech!

  • Josefine - Engineer, is part of the Multi-Channel Products Feature team. She works with feature development, which can be an extension of existing products or a separate application.
  • Emma - Engineer, has been working at Axis for eight months. She is part of a team that works with a video management system with focus on streaming and recording.
  • Josefin - Experienced Engineer, has been working at Axis for five years. She is currently part of a team that works with a video management system with focus on streaming and recording.
